User Experience, User Interaction, SEO
What do they have in common?
Quite a bit actually! And even more when I release what some already
believe will change how most websites are done in the future.
These innovative new methods and techniques will not only enhance the user
experience, but will benefit site owners by greatly simplifying their
administration... essentially allowing them to log in to the site, and simply
click on the text they wish to update, type in the update, and poof! It's there! Not even a page refresh. The same simple technique is available for
updating graphics, photos, audio, video, podcasts, etc. It even lets them
resize and drag elements to new positions on the page, to re-design on the
fly to accomodate the new text or photos.
But that is just the beginning. There is much more to it, that I can't talk
about yet; things that will make a significant difference in your Search
Engine Optimization (SEO). Because remember, everyone is optimizing their
sites right now for the search engines.... When everyone has, what you've
achieved (using current techniques), is mostly parity with everyone else. Sure,
you might get that first or second page search engine listing now, but
when the competition is optimized, that could change. But the sites using this
new technology/methodology will still tend to get the highest rankings, even
when all else is the same (until everyone figures out how to do this...).
So at the moment I'm searching for the sites (actually maybe a marketing agency or web
development company) where we'll release this first to their clients... quietly! These might also benefit from a totally new Internet marketing concept
we are almost ready to release... but are really looking for a start-up getting
ready to launch to use that. (O.K., I might be a little farther along than that... hint? Well I do have a trip to Phoenix planned for the VERY near future.)
So things are still exciting here! I'll be sure to post an update after
the first 20 or so sites have been converted, so everyone can have a look.
